This oil may cause adverse skin reactions to some people so blending properly is important and may be the reason why some have reactions, but not all. Suggestions for blending. First make sure you use a carrier oil with any blends or being used singly. Other essential oils Thyme blends well with are BergamotGrapefruitLemonLavenderRosemary, and Pine.

Diluting your blends from 1% to 3% is a safe practice, while still offering all the benefits of your essential oils.

  • 1% – 5 to 6 drops in 1 oz (30 ml/28 g) of carrier
Best for long-term use, children, or sensitive people.
  • 2% – 10 to 12 drops in 1 oz (30 ml/28 g) of carrier
Best for general use by healthy adults.
  • 3% – 15 to 18 drops in 1 oz (30 ml/28 g) of carrier
Best for addressing short-term, acute issues

For example, fennel after a meal in a tea infusion can help release the build-up.

Fennel can also be used for infants with a gas build up in their tummies and intestines. I suggest to myself to make an infusion with what is growing in my yard organically. It can be used topically, applied to stomach and abdominal area until gas is expelled or when there is constipation.

How to use: If you suffer from COPD Thyme oil may be helpful to heal and also helps to heal esophagus from acute acid reflux. Since the review didn’t say how they used it, add to a carrier oil and rub into stomach area and over esophagus.

1 tsp in a cup of water in the morning has helped some to reduce inflammation from FIBROMYALGIA when pain meds don’t work.

(Though I found this application online, I am not going to recommend and only use at your discretion.
Bad idea!)

(I tried this and here is what happened. I put ½ teaspoon in my
smoothie. I had to add half of a banana to make it palatable. I
also added another 1/4–1/2 to an omelet. That I had to throw
out. Now for the aftereffects. In only minutes I became irritated
in my gut and began to feel sweat break out on my forehead.
Oh no I said! I quickly calmed those painful symptoms by
topically rubbing Essential Pain Relief over my stomach and
intestines, can be seen and purchased here:

Essential Pain Relief

Then for the “hot flash” on my forehead. I applied Essential
Immune Support essential oil blend to my forehead, temples,
behind ears and back neck. That can be viewed and purchased
here: https://thekingsherbals.com/product/essential-immune-
support/ )
Within just a few minutes, 10-15, I was feeling much much
better, able to drive myself to the Farmer’s Market 30 minutes
away and felt well the rest of the day. Bottom line; this is good
example of what happens when essential oils are ingested by
trial and error. Essential oils can break down the mucus
membrane in the stomach and mouth. It also will cause painful
contractions as well as digestion problems as in diarrhea so be
sure to research well and be sure you are using the correct oils
in your recipes.)

Thyme is also beneficial for symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. Try in a tea, as a supplement, or/and topically with a carrier oil.

As an expectorant and to clear up bronchitis 1 tsp. thyme to 1 cup hot water. Steep for two minutes and honey to taste. After one or two cups you should notice a difference. You can also use to gargle to reduce swelling in tonsils. Apply topically to drain lymph nodes. You should notice a big difference within 2 days. Here I want to add I have another rub on called Essential Pain Relief that provides the same significant relief. You can find it here: https://thekingsherbals.com/product/essential-pain-relief/

For issues of the blood, thyme is full of vitamin C for immune support, potassium for healthy cells, and manganese for bone development and blood clotting, can lead to a drop in blood pressure, increase blood flow and may also reduce inflammation and blood sugar levels. Loaded with vitamin C another compound found in Thyme is Rosmarinic acid.

In a laboratory study, the compound carvacrol in thyme was found beneficial for cardio protective health and therefore beneficial for those with heart disease.
