Essential oils are antiviral, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-spasmodic, anti-septic, as well as a muscle relaxant decreasing contractions in the respiratory, stops anti-viral activity, are anti-bacterial, stimulating, germicidal, anti-septic, anti-microbial, decongestant, and insecticidal.
Carvacrol and its isomer thymol obtained from oregano have been shown to inhibit viral host cell fusion via depletion of viral cholesterol from the HIV-1 envelope membranes, thus blocking the entry of the virus into the host system. Essential oils have been shown effective in prevention and healing by the inhibition of steps involved in virus attachment, penetration, intracellular replication, release from host cells, and inhibition of viral enzymes.
This blend is not listed as safe during pregnancy, while lactating, and for children under 5. Proper dilution is required. When used in a diffuser: 4 hours on and four off for safe use.
